Senior Alumni Paddling Program

Our Senior Alumni Paddling Program is designed for former Sackawa athletes who are looking to return to the sport in a flexible, fun, and fitness-focused environment. This program is ideal for paddlers who previously trained in high performance or sprint kayak and want to stay active, reconnect with the club, and enjoy time on the water... without the demands of full-time competitive training.

Participants train alongside our High Performance (HP) group on a drop-in basis, joining regular scheduled practices when it fits their availability. There are no separate coaching sessions or attendance requirements, making this a great option for those balancing work, school, or other commitments. Whether you’re aiming to race occasionally or simply paddle for fitness and enjoyment, this program offers a supportive way to stay involved.

The program runs year-round and is divided into two training phases:

  • Fall/Winter (September–February): Dryland training

  • Spring/Summer (March–August): On-water paddling, with optional regatta participation

Program Fee:
$600 annually (or $300 per phase). The program fee includes all training opportunities and race fees, regardless of competition participation.

This program plays an important role in maintaining a strong club culture by keeping our experienced athletes connected, engaged, and contributing to the broader paddling community.
